SINOPSIS

Kenia is a gripping 6-episode miniseries that blends betrayal, power and an intense search for identity. Set in the dark world of diamond trafficking, the series follows Kenia, a young Afro-Argentine woman whose life changes radically after witnessing the brutal murder of her father. In the midst of a war for power and wealth, Kenia must face ruthless criminals as she searches for the truth about the betrayal that destroyed her family.

At the age of 13, Kenya witnesses the death of her father, Federico, at the hands of Bonuccelli, a dangerous capo seeking to control the trafficking of a valuable African diamond. Narrowly escaping, Kenya is trapped in a world she does not fully understand, but which she is determined to challenge. At the center of the conflict, Xuan, an influential Argentine businessman of Chinese origin, also covers the diamond and Federico’s connections. As Xuan and Bonuccelli clash for control of the business, Kenya becomes a key player in a battle of power and betrayal.

Throughout the episodes, Kenya struggles not only to survive, but to understand her own place in this criminal network. Guided by her father’s legacy and her ancestral connection to Africa, the young woman embarks on a dangerous journey to uncover her family’s secrets and confront the men who want to destroy her.

Kenya offers a profound analysis of corruption, power and racial dynamics in Argentina, featuring an Afro-Argentine protagonist who breaks with traditional stereotypes. Through her struggle, the series invites reflection on identity and justice in a context where the lines between the legal and the illegal are blurred. With its mix of emotional drama and fast-paced action, this miniseries promises to capture the interest of both local and international audiences, showing the strength

and courage of a young woman confronting the darkest forces of her society.

Profitable investment in the miniseries KENYA

Investing in KENYA is an exceptional opportunity not only for its innovative content, but also for the commercial and cultural potential it offers in Argentina and internationally. Here are some key reasons why investing in this film is profitable and likely to have a high return:

KENYA offers something that few Argentine films have achieved: a narrative centered on a woman of African descent, an emotionally charged thriller that touches on themes such as diamond trafficking, power tensions and the search for identity. Argentine audiences have not seen a film that depicts such a multicultural and diverse story, with characters of different ethnicities and backgrounds, reflecting the real diversity of the country. This is a factor that will appeal to an audience looking for fresh, authentic and relevant stories.

The theme of diamond trafficking and the African setting connect KENYA with a wider audience, from Argentina to international audiences interested in thrillers with social and global relevance. In addition, the African diaspora in Latin America is a growing issue that resonates with different communities worldwide.

KENYA has a cast and plot that includes diverse Argentinean ethnicities, from the Afro-Argentine community to Chinese-Argentine and European characters. This broad representation will attract a diverse audience that will see their interests and experiences reflected on screen. It will also attract media outlets and platforms that support inclusion and cultural representation, increasing visibility and distribution opportunities.

Because of its uniqueness and focus on an Afro-Argentine heroine, KENIA has a high potential for success at major film festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Toronto or Sundance, where the focus on minority stories and diverse representation are highly valued. This can open the door to international distributions and partnerships with global streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBO, significantly expanding the reach and possibilities of financial return.

Argentine cinema, although recognized worldwide for its quality, has rarely offered an Afro-descendant protagonist in a thriller of this magnitude. This makes KENYA stand out as a novelty in the local market, capturing the interest of both audiences and critics. Audiences are looking for new stories and KENYA responds to that demand, creating a unique opportunity to attract viewers that are not usually seen in the local market.

How would you benefit from investing in KENYA?

The potential for profitability is considerable. The film has an attractive commercial approach that can engage both local and international audiences. By differentiating itself in the marketplace, it is more likely to generate box office, festival, international distribution sales and streaming revenues, ensuring multiple revenue streams.

As an investor, you would be participating in a pioneering project that contributes to fair and diverse representation in Argentine cinema. This not only positions you as an investor in social impact projects, but also as a promoter of inclusive and contemporary narratives, an aspect that appeals to both audiences and other businesses in the industry.

As a socially and culturally relevant film, there is potential to attract partnerships with brands, NGO’s and organizations that promote diversity, inclusion and minority empowerment. These partnerships can not only generate more capital, but also increase the visibility of the project.

KENYA would offer you a film with the potential to enter international markets and receive support from streaming platforms. A project with this capacity for growth not only recovers the investment, but can also provide access to future opportunities in the entertainment industry.

In addition to the financial benefit, you would be financing a film that has the potential to change the way Argentine and Latin American society views its Afro-descendant communities. Being part of that cultural change can have a profound and positive long-term impact, both locally and globally.

Investing in KENYA is investing in a unique film that can resonate with diverse audiences, generate revenue through multiple channels and open new doors in the film industry. Profitability is based on a story never before seen in Argentina, with a diverse and powerful narrative, and a focus on global themes that will appeal to both festivals and distribution platforms worldwide.

Wisny Dorce began her journey in the film industry independently,  founding Blacexistence Films, a production company committed  to creating content that gives visibility to the stories of Afro descendant and other minority communities in Latin America. Her  bold and original vision allowed her to quickly gain recognition for

her narrative approach and her ability to tell emotional and socially  impactful stories.

One of Dorce’s most notable projects is the film El Afortunado,  winner of several film festival awards and screened in 14  theaters in Argentina during 2020.
